Seneca International Student Website -- Study Permit Requirements

1. You have sent Seneca a completed application form, with all required academic transcripts and an IELTS score (if applicable) and your application fee payment. When we receive it in the courier, with your original signature on the application form at our office, we will process it according to eligiblity sequence, based on your submitted academic credentials. When you are approved as a successful candidate, you or your educational consultant will receive an official Seneca notification 'Letter of Acceptance' by courier.

2. Once you have submitted your application package to Seneca, you can begin completing your Canadian Study Permit Application Form. You can get all the information you need by going through the following websites:

The Student Partners Program

Student Partners Program was created by Canadian High Commission in collaboration with Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) in order to speed up study permit processing and reduce the number of documents needed to assess your Canadian Study Permit application for a certain category of student.

What do Indian/Chinese Students need to submit to SENECA to be considered for this expedited SPP Study Permit process?

A. Only students who are academically qualified (please refer to Seneca's on-line Program Calendar for details)
B. who have chosen a career advancing program similar to their previous academic background
C. who have submitted a current and valid IELTS result (India: minimum 6.0 score) (China: minimum 5.5 score) (IELTS score cannot be older than 1 year - from submission to Seneca and submission for their Canadian Study Permit)
D. students willing to apply for an Education Loan (India) or show financial statements (China).

3. When you get your Letter of Acceptance Package from Seneca, (congratulations, by the way!) your Letter of Acceptance will have a Date of Issue and a Date of Expiry on the upper right corner. You must make at least a one semester fee payment to Seneca, at least 10 days BEFORE your offer letter expires. If your offer letter expires, before we receive your tuition fee payment, the offer letter is cancelled and deemed null and void. Seneca, immediately invites other students to take your seat in the program, so making payments ahead of time, is very important.

4. Attach your Seneca 'Letter of Acceptance' to your Canadian Study Permit application form, to be included along with your educational and financial information.

5. Once you receive your 'Study Permit' to Seneca, please come back to our International Home Page (www.studyatseneca.ca) and familiarize yourself with the 'Guide for International Students' and On-Line Orientation information so you will be prepared to come to Canada and Seneca.
